Prof. Neville Berkman

Prof. Neville Berkman, the Director of Hadassah’s Institute of Pulmonology and Head of the Hadassah Adult and Invasive Pulmonology Unit. Prof. Berkman also leads themultidisciplinary clinic opened at Hadassah Hospital Ein Kerem to evaluate patients who have recovered from COVID-19 and are experiencing post-COVID complications. The areas of his clinical expertise include:  Chemokines & Nitric oxide for asthma ▪️Pulmonary fibrosis as a side effect of bleomycin ▪️Sarcoidosis ▪️Infectious diseases of the lungs ▪️Asthma ▪️Invasive bronchoscopy ▪️Tumors of the lungs ▪️Pulmonary embolism ▪️Pulmonary fibrosis ▪️Pulmonary hypertension ▪️Lung transplant 

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:

1984 ▪️Graduated from the Medical Faculty of the University of Johannesburg (South Africa)

1991 ▪️Trained in the pediatric department of the Hadassah clinic

1995 ▪️Completed specialization in pulmonology
